# Quickstart

Join your Portfolio, create an API token, call the Cadae REST API and connect an MCP client in four steps.


Get a token, call the API, connect an agent.

## 1. Join your Portfolio

There is no self-service sign-up: a Cadae Super Admin creates your Portfolio and
invites its first Owner. You join by the invitation email or text — open its
link and follow it. If you are new to Cadae, choose a password and confirm the
address or number the invitation was sent to with the six-digit code we send
there; your Account is created at that point. If you already have a Cadae
account, sign in and the Portfolio is added to it. Everyone else joins the same
way, invited by an Owner or an Administrator.

If you cannot open the email or mobile the invitation was sent to, ask whoever
invited you to send it somewhere you can — that is the one thing the code cannot
work around.

## 2. Create an API token

Go to **Settings → Developer → Create token**.

- **Personal token** (`cad_pat_…`) — acts as you, scopes capped by your role.
- **Portfolio token** (`cad_osk_…`) — access to the whole Portfolio, Owners only.

The token is shown once. Store it somewhere safe — only its hash is kept.

## 3. Call the API

## 4. Connect an agent

Point any MCP client at `https://api.cadae.ai/mcp` and approve the OAuth
